The City of White Plains’ central business district was experiencing a renaissance with 1000 new residential units, two hotels, and a mixed-use entertainment complex all proposed or under construction. As part of the revitalization process the city engaged IQ to develop design and construction documents for over two million dollars of streetscape improvements. Included as part of the program were promenade gardens, crosswalks, period lighting, site furnishings, and information kiosks. IQ worked closely with the city’s planning department as well as with local stakeholders to develop a consensus design and implementation strategy.
