IQ was commissioned by the Reader’s Digest Association to prepare a Master Plan for its 70 acre world headquarters located in Northern Westchester County. Since completion of the plan, the firm has been involved with many facets of the phased implementation of the overall design including a new parking lot and a 3-mile long employee jogging trail. IQ also completed plans for integration of a handicapped ramp to the main rotunda building and for a sculpture garden in which apple trees, daffodil drifts and ornamental grasses will create the setting for bronze sculpture. A site wide planting and restoration plan, a wildlife management program, and maintenance guidelines for the facility further reinforce the image of the site as an important historic corporate campus. The site signage, lighting, and other design elements were proposed by IQ to fit within the neo-colonial style of the original architecture.
