IQ Landscape Architects collaborated with the architectural office of Gallin Beeler Design Studio and the real estate firm of Urban American to restore an existing entrance plaza at one of the largest public housing projects in North America housing over 5000 residents. A park-like environment was created by preserving existing specimen oaks located in a new open lawn and by the addition of new shrub and perennial plantings reinforcing the gently curving walkway. A garden at the gateway to the plaza entrances the pedestrian sequential experience as one passes through the corridor.
