IQ Landscape Architects was part of a design team working on a major new addition to the Blythedale Children’s Hospital, one of the country’s leading medical rehabilitation centers. Theme gardens composed of topiary, depicting various species of animals along with their offspring is the central feature when approaching the entrance courtyard. All the gardens are also viewable from each hospital room. Bright and cheerful colors were introduced within the planting palette of shrubs and perennials, as well as used on benches, lighting and an overhead canopy structure.
