Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point - Bronx, NY

  • IQ Landscape Architects has created a links inspired clubhouse landscape for the Trump National Golf Club located in Bronx, New York.  The golf course and a clubhouse area were constructed on a previous landfill site which was capped and backfilled with sand.  Undulating earth forms, such as dunes and bunkers, were introduced to reinforce a true links course.  The landscape palette consisted of native plants tolerant of the sandy soils and wind conditions synonymous with its Long Island Sound location.  Switchgrass, little bluestem, shadblow, bayberry, and beach plumb predominated the clubhouse surroundings.  Native New York State bluestone and pea gravel from a local quarry were the primary hardscape elements.
